Gratitude Collab
Make a list of things that you are most thankful for this month. ... Make a list, and give your thanks!
| Wednesday, April 25, 2001 Hi Kate, Here's a list of just a few things I'm grateful for right now. Jesus Christ: I don't think I ever comprehended his death and resurrection as well as I did today. I was reading Neville's The Law and the Promise: The author reminds that Christ died as man, forgetting he is God (when he calls outward to God on the cross, "My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me?"), so that we will rise as God. When Christ rises, he asks those who stand before him why they are calling outward to God, when God dwells within them. God is within us! God is not outside of us. It feels good to me to know that. All my experiences: I don't know what God has in store for me. Dare I repeat myself by saying I believe that everything happens for a reason? God knows what we need better than we do. He has a plan for us; our souls are here to live. If we "Let go and let God," if we let our lives unfold, if we relax out of our personalities long enough to let our souls guide us through intuition, we'll truly be living!! Butterflies: They are beautiful just the way they are. (That could be why they always remind me of my best friend.) Swings: I love the rush I get from a good swing. The motion, the breezes...I can think of only one other thing that makes me giggle for no reason other than the fact that I'm in the experience... Airplanes: Taking off is the best part. Speeding along the runway, pressed back in your seat, then lifting off into the air...I giggle every time. Flowers: They can brighten a day, a desk, a room, someone's eyes, anything, anyone. Jellybeans: From colorful to colorless, always full of flavor, often pleasant to the taste, but sometimes they stain the tongue--kind of like life... Music: I love how it moves me and moves through me. Kitty cats: Daisy and Lacey, specifically. Daisy is my best friend with four legs. She loves to be with me always and she's so full of affection. Lacey is like a sister--even though I never had one. She knows I'll treat her well and she trusts me. And she even loves to borrow my clothes! (You know, for sleeping on.) Sunsets: They are like ribbons that tie up a perfect day. If the day didn't previously feel perfect, the sunset itself makes it so. Coffee: I would be sleeping through too much of life without it. Joe's flannel shirts: When I do sleep, they are the best things to sleep in. Quotes: I love how they inspire me and others. Happy endings: Not the fluffy kind, but the substantial, most satisfying, this-is-so-awesome kind.
